Dr. J. Elaine White, Director, Live Oak Writing Project
Dr. White is the co-author of Making Your First Year a Success: A Secondary Teacher's Survival Guide and numerous articles dealing with English education and National Writing Project work. She is a graduate of The University of Oklahoma and was a teacher consultant with the Oklahoma Writng Project. She has taught vocal music 1-12, high school English, and university courses.
At The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast, she teaches English licensure courses, Literature for Adolescents, and English Grammar. Dr. White is the founding director of Live Oak Writing Project.
