Graduate students in geological oceanography in the Department of Marine Science at Stennis Space Center, continue to take core samples to check for the presence of oil from the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.

The new science building on the Long Beach campus is open and hosting classes for the Spring 2013 semester.
