Graduate students in geological oceanography in the Department of Marine Science at Stennis Space Center, continue to take core samples to check for the presence of oil from the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.

The new Science and Technology Building on the Gulf Park Campus is slowly rising since its groundbreaking on May 14, 2011. It is still on target to host classes for Fall 2012.
