What does the math lab offer?

  • Tutoring for undergraduate mathematics classes, intro chem, and physics
  • Help organizing notes for all sci/tech courses
  • Praxis I and BTLE
  • Computers are available for courses needing MyMath Lab, Geometer's Sketch Pad and other math software (we DO NOT have SPSS)
  • Placement tests (by appointment)

We will be moving to The Learning Commons in the Gulf Park library in Spring 2013.

The lab is open outside tutoring hours. These times may have to be adjusted.  Tutoring help is available for all MAT 099, 101,102, 103, and 314, elementary education mathematics courses, all Calculus courses, Physics courses and CHE 104, 106, 107, 255 and 256. Praxis I tutoring is also available. Study help is also available for biology and geography courses. Study groups may be formed for classes.
The lab may be closed at times for class presentations. You are not allowed to download programs to these computers and we do not have SPSS. Food and drinks are not permitted near the computers. You will need to provide your own headphones if needed for video lessons. The printer is only for use by lab staff.
