What Our Committees Do

GAP Activities

Responsible for organizing and hosting activities for the Student Body.  The committee is expected to work with the SGA Public Relations Committee to promote all activities.

Intramural Sports

Responsible for organizing and hosting Intramural games throughout the year.  The committee is expected to work with the SGA Public Relations Committee to promote all activities.

Public Relations

Responsible for promoting the SGA and SGA events.  This includes but is not limited to creating and posting fliers, sheet signs, and posters, sending out student emails, launching events, documenting SGA events, updating the SGA website and calendar of events.  This committee is expected to work in conjunction with all other committees and the SGA general assembly.  

Events Committee

Responsible for working with Student Services, Student Organizations, Faculty, and Staff in planning, promoting, and hosting large school events.  These include but are not limited to Welcome Week, Homecoming Week, Fall Festival, and Jazz and Blues Festival.  At least one member of this committee will sit on the university wide committee for each of these events.

Fundraiser Committee

Responsible for planning and hosting fundraisers for the SGA and for reporting all profits to SGA Treasurer.  The committee is expected to work with the SGA Public Relations Committee to promote fundraising events and activities.
