About the Mississippi Area Health Education Center
The Southern Mississippi and Southwest Mississippi Area Health Education Centers are grant-funded extensions of the VP for Research. In 2006, Mississippi was awarded a three year grant exceeding $1 million dollars. The Mississippi Area Health Education Center received monies from Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for area health education centers. The Mississippi Area Health Education Center sub-granted HRSA monies to establish the Southern Mississippi and Southwest Mississippi Health Education Centers, which constitute two of seven health education centers in the state. |  |
