Lennzee Lawrence is from Petal, Miss., and is a medical laboratory science major in the College of Health. As a senior and transfer, it is her first year to serve as an Ambassador.
Along with her active position as Ambassador, Lennzee is a member of the Legacy Student Alumni Board. In this role she is able to participate in many events that support the traditions and legacy of Southern Miss. The Fall Haunted Legacy Tour gave her a chance to lead in a chair position. Lennzee is a member of the Medical Lab Science club which is active on campus and in the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science. Lennzee also spends time volunteering for community service activities in the Gamma Beta Phi honor society.
After transferring from Pearl River Community College as a registered Medical Laboratory Technician, Lennzee began the MLS Fast Track Program to complete her bachelor’s degree. Next fall, she plans on pursuing a master’s degree with an emphasis in teaching. She has received various scholarships while at Southern Miss including the Hattiesburg Physicians Medical Laboratory Science Scholarship and the Mary Lois Burkett Scholarship.
In her free time she enjoys cooking, singing, jogging, and shopping. Her family is very important to her and spending time with them comes first! For the past three years she has worked as an Event Specialist at Sam’s Club.
Even in the short time she has been at Southern Miss, Lennzee has made relationships and memories that she will treasure the rest of her life. She says that her position as an Ambassador is an honor and she hopes to make the University proud.
