Mississippi Health Summit
The College of Health hosted and co-sponsored the first Mississippi Health Summit on Friday, April 29, 2011, in the Trent Lott National Center on the Hattiesburg campus. More than 160 health care professionals from throughout the State of Mississippi gathered to participate in the one-day Summit, under the theme of collaboration, to discuss ways to improve health outcomes in the state. The event was co-sponsored by:

- The University of Southern Mississippi
- Forrest General Hospital
- Mississippi Hospital Association
- Mississippi Public Health Association
