Alanna Lee Fopiano

President, College of Health Ambassadors

Alanna Fopiano is a senior nutrition and dietetics major from Atlanta, Ga., with dance and Spanish minors. She has been an Ambassador for three years and has enjoyed every single moment.

Alanna stays very active on campus through other organizations including The Legacy, Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, the Wesley Foundation Leadership Team, Golden Key Honor Society and the Student Dietetic Association. She is a desk assistant in Hattiesburg Hall. Alanna loves to do community service and often volunteers  in Mississippi and while home in Georgia. She traveled to Honduras during the summer of 2013 with the Wesley Foundation for a mission trip, where she helped build an orphanage. During the summer of 2014, Alanna traveled to Costa Rica to finish her Spanish minor, as well as make life long friendships.

After graduating high school in 2011, Alanna followed in her mother and grandfather’s footsteps of becoming a Golden Eagle. She is a recipient of the Leadership Scholarship and the 2013 recipient of the College of Health’s Undergraduate Leadership Award. When Alanna graduates, she wants to take part in an internship and work towards becoming a registered dietitian. Alanna wants to either work with children or dancers.

In her free time, Alanna loves to sing, dance, read, write, cook, shop, listen to music and look on Pinterest. She also loves to watch movies and dreams of traveling the world.

Alanna has loved her experience as an Ambassador, and has loved promoting the College of Health. She is very honored to represent such a fantastic department, and hopes that she makes her mentors and advisors proud.
