Jessica Garner

My name is Jessica Garner.  This is my second year to serve as an ambassador for the College of Health at Southern.  I completed my undergraduate degree here in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences.  Now I am a graduate student studying Speech-Language Pathology. 

Not only am I a member of a wonderful department, but also I am a member of a wonderful college.  The College of Health plays a huge role in advocating for better wellness throughout the university and the community.  I am also a graduate assistant at the Children's Center for Communication and Development that I give credit for my interest in early intervention.  My plans after graduate school are to work in a hospital or early intervention facility. 

I am the president of the Student Speech and Hearing Association, a member of the National Student Speech, Language, and Hearing Association.  I enjoy cooking, college basketball, and reading (something other than a textbook).
