Sabrina Young is a Luckyday Scholar from Charleston, Miss. This is her first year as a College of Health Ambassador, and this fall she serves as the secretary of the Ambassadors. Sabrina is a senior majoring in health policy administration in the Department of Community Health Sciences. Sabrina’s career goal of becoming an administrator will mean a great deal to her, because she loves helping people and coming up with ideas to make health policies more efficient. In her freshman year, Dr. Joe Paul challenged Sabrina to “Leave Southern Miss better than you found it.” She uses the inspiration of that challenge to make an impact in her community and in the College of Health. Sabrina plans to work in a healthcare facility while completing a master’s degree in health policy administration.
Some of her hobbies include spending time with her family and line sisters, going to church, reading, studying, shopping, working out, and volunteering at Hawkins Elementary School.
Sabrina is involved in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Roots and Shoots, and the College of Democrats.
