Ted Olack

Edward (Ted) J. Olack is from Madison, Miss., and is a senior sports, recreation and leisure administration major in the School of Human Performance and Recreation. This is Edward’s first year as a College of Health Ambassador.

Ted is the manager and trip leader for the Recreational Sports outdoor program at the Payne Center. He has been a part of the Recreation Club for three years. He served as vice president of the club during the spring 2012 semester and is currently serving as president. Edward has served practicums with Southern Miss Recreation Sports and the Museum of Natural Science in Jackson, Miss.  He conducted outdoor education through field trips to the Ocoee and Ship Island as well as doing fish feeding tank dives for museum patrons and summer camps.  Ted also serves on the School of Human Performance and Recreation evaluation and improvement team with the department heads and a team of students to help constantly improve the school.

Ted enjoys hobbies such as S.C.U.B.A diving, mountain biking, kayaking, camping, hunting and fishing, and being with his Southern Miss friends.  Following graduating from Southern Miss, he plans to join the Navy or the Coast Guard Dive School program working in commercial diving and recreational departments in International Tourism.
