Tiffany Howard is a native of McComb, Miss. She is a senior majoring in public health with an emphasis in health policy and administration and will graduate spring of 2015 . She plans to pursue a master's in health administration at UCF and obtain a Ph.D in public health. This is Howard's second year participating as a College of Health Ambassador. She is one of the coordinators for the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency donor registration campaign for 2014-2015 and is a committee member for the CoH Ambassador's faculty/staff recognition project.
Howard is an admirable scholar on campus and in her community. She is a member of Eta Sigma Gamma, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Beta Beta Beta Honor Society and is a Golden Opportunity Scholar. She is active in the community with service to the United Way Foundation, Relay for Life, Stop Hunger Now program and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Pine-Belt Area. She continues to inspire youth by "Molding Youth Today to yield Professionals of Tomorrow" with the Freeman Scholars where she is the co-founder/coordinator working along with the CEO of the Cardiovascular Institute of McComb, Miss. Recently, Howard sponsored her second "Break the Silence for Domestic Violence, Dance for Peace" event in coalition with the United Way Foundation and High D.E.F. Dance Organization at Southern Miss. Tiffany also served on the Pike County Homecoming Scholarship Weekend Committee for two consecutive years. She considers it a great honor, because she believes that change starts with our youth.
Howard interned for the Walt Disney World Resort Company in Orlando, Fla., during the fall of last year. Additionally, Howard considers being an Ambassador a great honor and knows that she will leave Southern Miss better than she found it. Howard enjoys singing, spending time with family and friends and dancing.
