Trent Johnson is from Concord, North Carolina, and is a junior exercise science major in the School of Human Performance and Recreation. This is Trent’s first year as a College of Health Ambassador. Trent is ecstatic about serving as an Ambassador for the College of Health and is dedicated to teaching and informing current and future students about what his major has to offer.
Trent is very active on the Southern Miss campus as he is currently a desk assistant in McCarty Hall, a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., serves as public relations chair for the National Pan-Hellenic Council Executive Board, College Democrats, and Afro-American Student Organization. In his spare time, he loves to play sports, watch movies, socialize with family and friends, travel to different places, and volunteer at the Osceola McCarty Youth Development Center.
After graduating from Southern Miss, Trent plans to attend medical school to earn his M.D. From there on, he plans to become an orthopedic surgeon and open up his own medical facility with his sister. He feels this will suit him best with his passion of helping others who are in need.
