General Health Care
The University of Southern Mississippi's Student Health Services
offers general medical care for all students, faculty, and staff
of this university. Students who are currently enrolled do
not have to pay for an office visit to see a health care provider.
Students must present their student ID at time of visit. Faculty and staff are charged an office visit fee.
Our staff treats a wide range of health problems, including
acute minor illnesses such as colds, sinus problems, and allergies;
and chronic medical problems such as asthma, diabetes, and
hypertension. We offer preventive health service, including
womens health exams, cholesterol screening, smoking cessation, and a mens health program.
Under the umbrella of our student health services, we have
a full- service labortory, an X-ray facility, and a pharmacy located within the clinic facility.
There are fees associated with these services.
Remember, appointments are encouraged. Our staff will see appointments before walk-in
patients. Please be sure that your address, phone number,
and e-mail address are current each semester.
