Accepting Applications for 2015 Workshop

2014 High school students experience journalism at Southern Miss.

The University of Southern Mississippi School of Mass Communication and Journalismis accepting applications for the Remembering Hurricane Katrina Multimedia High School Journalism Workshop, which will be held on the Hattiesburg campus June 14-21, 2015.

Students attending the 2015 Multimedia High School Journalism Workshop will have the opportunity to meet and interview journalism professionals that covered the 2005 landfall of Hurricane Katrina. During the week, students will produce print, Web, audio, video and photo packages focused on the experiences professionals from a variety journalism fields (broadcast, newspaper, public relations, photojournalism). Workshop participants will learn multimedia journalism skills from Southern Miss faculty and students as well as professionals currently working in the industry.
