About me: I wanted to become an Honors Ambassador so that I could have the opportunity to serve the organization that has not only greatly increased my overall college experience, but has also made me a better person and a better student. The smaller classes of academically minded peers created this ultimate learning environment that helped me reach my academic potential. The forums during Freshman year helped expose me to all different kinds of exciting knowledge that was intrinsically interesting and helpful for someone like myself who has grown up in the small towns of Mississippi. My active learning trip to New York was so phenomenal and helped show me the value in traveling and exposure to other places. Overall, my favorite part of Honors College is the connections you make within the HoCo community. Being surrounded by peers that have the same academic goals as you really helps not only provide academic accountability, but it also pushes you to go further than you ever thought you could as a student. At the end of the day, I know I can rely on my fellow Honors College students for anything, and there is no greater feeling than the pride I get when I get to tell people that I'm in the Honors College at the University of Mississippi.

After graduation, I plan to pursue a Graduate Degree of some sort, though I haven't decided what just yet. I just know I'm not going to be ready to stop learning at the end of my time at USM. I would love to be a professor some day and hopefully have the opportunity to work at a school with an Honors program as impressive as ours.
