About me: When I first started at Southern Miss I was very shy, and even though I knew many people, I still felt like I didn't have a place. Being in the Honors College and having the privilege of small Honors classes has given me the opportunity to really get to know some of my professors and other students. I am in a group of students, just like me, that really care about their education and love to learn. I also love how if I ever have a question, I feel comfortable going to any of my professors for help, and there is always someone at the honors house that can help me out. The Honors College has not only pushed me academically, but has also helped me to be more confident and has helped me to make some really great friends.
Coming to a big university straight out of high school is very intimidating and scary. I want to be there to help students know that college is not a big and scary thing. It is so important to not get bogged down in schoolwork and enjoy college. I want to be a friendly face for the students that may not know anyone and be there if they have any questions.
