About me: The Honors College benefits me by challenging me intellectually both in the classroom and out. It’s great to be able to live with other Honors students and be able to have deep, highly technical conversations with friends that completely understand what you’re saying. The Honors College also benefits me by allowing me to sign up for classes that are both smaller and in many cases more interesting- not to mention the classes specifically for Honors. Then there’s the active learning classes. I mean, how great of a benefit is it that you get to go travel to places all over the country to better understand what you’re studying in the classroom? Finally, the Honors College benefits me because it helps prepare me for graduate school by giving me experience in thesis writing. Latin designation is just icing on the cake.

I wanted to become an Ambassador to get prospective students excited about the Southern Miss Honors College! I wanted to show them that you can go anywhere you want and do anything you want through the Honors College at USM have a blast while doing it!
