About Me:  I love meeting new people and experiencing new things, and the Honors College has certainly afforded me that privilege.  I have made so many lifelong friends because of the Honors College.  The Honors College really helped me to get involved on campus.  As an out-of-state student, I did not know anyone when I first came to Southern Miss.  However, with all of the HoCo parties and honors classes, I soon made a ton of friends.  We have all gotten so close in the past year, and I feel so lucky to have met all of these wonderful people.

The Honors College has also given me so many incredible opportunities.  I have been able to travel with active learning trips that gave me memories I will never forget.  I have also been able to learn in ways that were entirely different than my other classes.  I got the chance to examine Neandertal skulls in my honors anthropology class, visit actual battle fields in my honors history class, and participate in active debates in my honors English class.  All in all, my experience in the Honors College has been amazing, and I am so glad I chose to be a part of it.

After graduation, I plan to attend physical therapy school to obtain my physical therapy degree with an emphasis in pediatric and special needs physical therapy.  I love children and am particularly excited about benefiting the lives of children that struggle every day to do daily tasks that we so often take for granted.  Eventually, I hope to open my own pediatric/special needs physical therapy clinic.
