One of our core values as a school is to lead the entire University in setting appropriate safety precedence by having accessiblitiy to technology that can serve to protect our people from the devastating effects of cardiac emergency. HP&R is excited to announce the NEW Graduate Certificate in Sport Security Management.The Graduate Certificate will be a total of 12 hours. This includes 9 hours of required classes and one elective. All courses are available via an online delivery format. Students must have completed a bachelor’s degree and meet the minimum requirement of a 2.75 GPA to enroll in the program as a non-degree seeking student. If students choose to pursue the Master’s degree in Sport Management they must follow current admission standards to the Sport Management Program and Graduate School.

Dr. Gould, of HP&R, and Jana Edwards were 2 of the 106 participants running in this year's HOMECOMING 5k. The lead-sponsor for the 5k, the Athletic Training Education Program's student club (USMSSMA), worked closely with the Kinesiotherapy and Exercise Science student clubs to schedule, plan and run the event. All proceeds will go towards the financial support of these student club's activities and events. Dr. Saunders served as the official race starter for the runner's who enjoyed a new, wheel measured course through the beautiful Southern Miss campus.
