Advisement Check-List

Official advisement occurs once every semester. By no means should this be the only time you meet with your adviser. They can offer great
insight to your field of study and act as a professional guide.

Schedule an appointment with your adviser. The sooner the better! Advisers are extremely busy during this time, so be sure to get on
their calendar and attend your scheduled appointment. If you do not know who your adviser is, refer to your SOAR account.

Prepare. Being prepared with an idea of the classes you would like to take will allow time to discuss your career path and any other
questions you may have. To help plan a potential class schedule, reference your program’s Plan of Study found on their web page and the Class Schedule Guide.

Create your class schedule for the upcoming semester in SOAR. After you have met with your adviser you will be cleared to enroll during
your designated time window.
