HP&R Student Services Center

The School of Human Performance and Recreation Student Services Center is a comprehensive academic services office for all HPR majors. We specialize in providing academic advising and degree application assistance.

The office is staffed by faculty who have a combined total of over 50 years of advising experience. It is our goal to meet your needs by answering your academic questions and providing you with referral assistance for other services (such as tutoring and career counseling) available on campus.

The Academic Enhancement Center serves as a vehicle for placement of students for practicum and internship experiences.

The office is located in Suite 101 of the Human Performance and Recreation building. We are open Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed from noon to 1:00 p.m. for lunch).

The Office of Educational Outreach is a new addition to the Academic Enhancement Center. The objectives for this new addition are:

Coordinate educational outreach programs with all functional academic units within the School of Human Performance and Recreation. This includes, but not limited to: practicum's, internships, student teaching, clinics and driver education.

  • Work closely with designated functional academic unit faculty assigned educational outreach programs with the selection, contract, and evaluation process.
  • Represent the School as central contact for educational outreach programs.
  • Serve as a student resource center for educational outreach programs.
  • Maintain educational outreach program data base.
