Who: Institute for Disability Studies
What: Autism Spectrum Support Group
When: Second Thursday of the month, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Where Pine Belt Family YMCA, 3719 Broadway Drive, Hattiesburg, MS
Why: The group meets to discuss research, treatments, and therapies believed to be relevant. Professional speakers provide information on a variety of topics. Child care is provided.

The Autism Spectrum Support Group meets on the second Thursday of each month at the Pine Belt Family YMCA from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. This group serves families with children in the broad spectrum. The support group primarily studies and discusses research, treatments, and therapies believed to be relevant to the treatment of children in the spectrum. IDS assists, supports, and sponsors this activity. Child care is provided (at no cost) by Southern Miss students at the YMCA while parents meet.

The autism spectrum support group is sponsored by the Institute for Disability Studies (IDS) at The University of Southern Mississippi. IDS core funding is provided by the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration on Developmental Disabilities.
