Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing (HPRP)
The past few years have been difficult financially for many people. When economic times are tough, some people struggle to afford food, clothing, medications and shelter. Some suddenly find they have no place to live.
Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing (HPRP)
HPRP is a program of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to prevent individuals and families from becoming homeless and to help those who are experiencing homelessness to be quickly re-housed and stabilized. Funding is directed to people who are or would be homeless but for this assistance. The intent is to help people who can remain stably housed after temporary assistance ends.
Who Is Eligible To Participate?
Individuals and families who are homeless or about to become homeless who
are at or below 50% of Area Median Income
have no appropriate subsequent housing options identified
lack financial resources and support networks needed to obtain or remain in housing
All program participants must have an initial consultation with a case manager and must be re-evaluated every three months.
