MITTS Memo

Provides information about legislation, new publications and research of interest to early intervention providers and to university faculty.

Calendar of Events

Provides local, state, regional and national training events of interest to early intervention providers and faculty.

MITTS for Parents

Provides information on parenting resources across Mississippi; programs and services of interest; interviews with policy makers; Part C and Part B staff, District Coordinators, etc. via a bimonthly publication. Available on the MITTS Web site. Print versions are available at district offices.

Conversations Interactive Video Network Seminars

Provides training for service coordinators and providers across the state on best practices, assessment, intervention and transition. Dates and times are posted on the MITTS Web site.

Outreach Training

Provides intense interdisciplinary training and coaching sessions. Training is available upon request to service providers and service coordinators in each district. The training is based on a best practice theme and review of a child/family being served through the model demonstration program or through the district.

Orientation for New Service Providers

Provides orientation workshops by a team of professionals as needed.

 

Annual Early Intervention Conference

Provides annual educational sessions in collaboration with First Steps staff and the Personnel Development Committee. Nationally known speakers are invited to share their knowledge of best practices in the field of early intervention.

 

Statewide Training Needs Surveys

Provides statewide surveys to determine training needs.
