ShareCare Bank Meetings

Member meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 12:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 115 North 25th Ave. , Hattiesburg, Miss.  These are potluck socials. Please bring a dish to share. Current members, as well as anyone interested in knowing more about the program, are encouraged to attend.  Call and ask for Ivie Pulliam at 601.266.5163 for more details.

Disaster Preparedness Workshop - July 1, 2008

ShareCare Recovery and Resiliency Connection, a project of the Institute for Disability Studies (IDS) at The University of Southern Mississippi, is sponsoring a disaster preparedness workshop, presented by the American Red Cross.

Senior adults over 50, caregivers, individuals with disabilities or special medical needs, service providers, and anyone interested in emergency preparedness can register to attend. Helpful tips for preparing for any emergency, creating a family disaster plan, building an emergency kit, locating resources, and other information will be shared.

Individuals with disabilities or those 62+ years of age may register to receive a weather radio at no charge if eligible.

The workshop will be held 4 - 6 p.m. July 1 at the Jackie Dole-Sherrill Community Center in downtown Hattiesburg. To register, call Ivie Pulliam at 601.266.5163 or send an e-mail to ivie.pulliam@usm.edu.
