3.  Preparing for a Disaster Resource

_I Am Citizen Prepared_, written by Maribeth Mooney, Research Associate with the Indiana Institute’s Center on Aging and Community, is a free downloadable publication designed to provide information that does not focus on the scary aspect of disasters and emergencies.  This publication offers suggestions on how to prepare in the event of an emergency.  Emergency preparedness is presented as a project instead of as a reaction to an unexpected and frightening event.  To download a free copy, please visit http://www.iidc.indiana.edu/cac/pdf/emerguide.pdf.
