Tammy Greer

Associate Professor of Psychology

Tammy Greer is a member of the United Houma Nation of Louisiana and director of the Center for American Indian Research and Studies (CAIRS) at The University of Southern Mississippi. She is faculty advisor to the Golden Eagles Intertribal Society (GEIS) student organization and, along with that group, coordinates a powwow that occurs on the third weekend in April each year. CAIRS and GEIS also maintain a 1000 square foot medicine wheel garden populated with native plants from the Southeastern U.S. Dr. Greer has a Ph.D. in Psychology from Tulane University and is an Associate Professor of Psychology.
