Macquarie University
Compare the costs -- you may be surprised at the results.
You may be surprised to learn that the estimated costs associated with your study abroad program at Macquarie University are not much different from those you'd expect to pay at Southern Miss. Southern Miss is committed to the principle of accessibility and works constantly to keep program costs down (in fact, our programs are among the lowest priced in the nation).
Your tuition fees, for example, will be very similar to what you normally pay for the regular academic year. How is that so? Because exchange programs operate on an "exchange" principle -- you pay your tuition and fees at home, a student at the partner university does likewise, and you "exchange" places. You do not pay any tuition to the host university. Thus, you can enroll at Macquarie for almost the same price that you'd pay for an academic year at Southern Miss. Below is a comparison of the estimated expenses for students living on campus at Southern Miss, and the Macquarie Exchange:

(Southern Miss’ International Programs staff can provide a list of student travel agencies recommended by former exchange participants.) Students participating on the same exchange are encouraged to travel together when possible
