Program
The University of Southern Mississippi and the Operafestival di Roma are proud to offer academic credit, International Studies in Music (MUS 499), for those students participating on the program.

Cost
The price for undergraduate credit $1,199. This includes tuition, program fees and international student identity card only.

Costs not included: flight to and from Italy, fees assessed by Operafestival di Roma, personal spending money, etc.

Eligibility
Students must be auditioned and accepted by Operafestival di Roma before applying Southern Miss credit.

Southern Miss' requirements include the completion of at least 28 semester hours with an overall 2.0 GPA for undergraduates and graduate standing for graduate students. All students must be in clear academic standing.

Financial Aid
Degree-seeking, Southern Miss, students who are accepted for participation may apply for financial aid if they meet federal requirements for a guaranteed student loan.

Students requiring financial aid should contact Frances Sudduth at the International Programs Office before requesting a 2008-2009 study abroad financial aid application from the university’s Financial Aid Office.

Summer Pell Grants, faculty/staff dependent scholarships, faculty/staff tuition waivers, and graduate assistantships are also accepted. Students are advised to begin the financial aid process well in advance of these deadlines.

Consortia univerisity students and other non-Southern Miss students must apply for financial aid through their home institution. However, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of International Programs, 601.266.4344, at Southern Miss for assistance.
