Faculty and Staff Software Purchases

Campus Site Licenses
Each of these campus site licenses were purchased to be used by faculty and staff for University work. The licenses have already been paid for and will not be charged to the departments. Some of these applications have an annual expiration and will require a renewal. There is also a limited number of copies for several of the applications, so once the quota is met the program will no longer be available. (Please contact helpdesk at 266-HELP for assistance)

Autodesk (www.autodesk.com/autocad)
	The University of Southern Mississippi has entered into an ACES Agreement. This provides the University with the newest versions of Autodesk as they become available. unlimited licenses Help Desk Request
Microsoft Office (microsoft.office.com)
	The University has entered into a Microsoft Campus Agreement, which gives us access to the newest version of Microsoft Office. The Office Suite includes: Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. unlimited licenses Software Download
SAS (www.sas.com)
	A statistical package with analytical solutions ranging from simple statistics to advanced data mining solutions. This statistical package runs on an iTech-supported DEC AlphaServer 4100 called “Perch.” For assistance with using the package, you will need to consult with fellow users. Please call the iTech Help Desk to be referred to a SAS user who has volunteered to assist others. Remember that their help is voluntary, and their use of the software may not be specific to your field of expertise (as SAS is used in such varied fields as business, nutrition and dietetics, and psychology). limited licenses Help Desk Request

	SPSS This is a statistical analysis and data management windows program. iTech technicians can assist with the installation and renewal of the licenses. Symantec Antivirus (www.symantec.com)
	Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 is an application that will assist in preventing the attacks of computer viruses. The application is only effective if the virus patches are updated regularly. Adobe Products (www.adobe.com)
	We have a CLP agreement that lets us purchase Adobe products at educational discounts. If you would like to receive a quote that reflects current pricing, send request to computer.orders@usm.edu. Please include name of software requested, number of licenses, and whether it will be for PC or Mac.
