Distance Education Committee
Scope of Responsibilities
The Distance Education Committee will provide recommendations relative to resource needs and allocation of said resources.
The University will designate revenue from distance education courses to provide incentives for departments and colleges to
develop and support distance education activities. This revenue will be managed by the Distance Education Committee.
Colleges will submit an annual budget to the Provost Office for approval by June 1st of each fiscal year; any new
requirements related to distance education will be evaluated by the Distance Education Committee and recommendations
forwarded to the Provost for approval. With the guidance from the Committee and Provost, the Office of Distance Education
Support will act as the administrator of these funds.
