SOAR/SOARFIN Standards Committee
Scope of Responsibilities
The committee is charged with assessing and evaluating data standards as they relate to the
PeopleSoft software initiative at The University of Southern Mississippi. For example, personal
name and address standards must be established for data entry into the PeopleSoft integrated
database. The committee will look at existing standards and recommend revision, modification,
or perhaps even creation of new procedures. Issues that involve policy changes will be referred
to the appropriate officials. The goal of the group at all times is to do what’s best for the
institution.
