Katrina Research Center Offers Exhibit March 30 titled
'Haiku & Essays, Word Pictures of Moments in Time'

In Frank Smith’s exhibit, Haiku and Essays, Word Pictures of Moments in Time, he is attempting to illustrate how the process of writing haiku works for him. The exhibit will open March 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the Katrina Research Center gallery located on the third floor of the Gulf Coast Library, Gulf Park campus, Long Beach. The KRC is still gathering eye witness accounts, photos, relics, books, videotapes, DVDs, CDs and other materials related to Hurricane Katrina and its impact on the state of Mississippi. If you have something that you would like to donate to the KRC, contact our librarian at 228.214.3416 or e-mail krc@usm.edu. You can also click here if you are a Southern Miss faculty member who has published work related to Hurricane Kartina and would like to have it become part of the KRC Collection.
