B.S. in Sport Coaching Education - Practicum Experience
All sport coaching education students are required to complete six hours of KIN 419 (practicum) over two semesters that provide hands-on professional field experience in a variety of coaching settings.
The practicum experience occurs on the semester calendar. While the faculty in the department can offer help, students generally find their own placement for practicum experiences. We encourage students to vary their experiences, working in high school, middle school, recreation, and club settings throughout their time at USM.
*Note: If you are an administrator of a sport program and are interested in having a student coach, please contact the SCE program director for more information.
