Physical Education - Practicum and Lab Experience
Physical Education (Licensure) and Dual Degree students spend a semester teaching Physical Education twice a week at the DuBard School for Language Disorders. This is a great hands-on experience for students as they are given responsibility for planning and delivering the lessons.
Prior to participating in observation and practicum experiences in K-12 schools, students must complete a certified background check at www.certifiedbackground.com
Students engage in practicum and laboratory experience through KIN 210 and KIN 462L, respectively. The practicum/laboratory experiences are designed to progressively guide candidates toward becoming competent practitioners. KIN 490/491 provide each teacher candidate with experience at two levels: elementary and middle/high school.
