"I am glad that the Learning Enhancement Center (LEC) has taken the initiative to create and host the LEC conference.
It is nice to be able to share what I am working on in my classes with other Southern Miss faculty and staff, and
to learn about their ideas. Beyond this, the conference is exciting because of the diverse group of educators
it attracts. Attendees include grad students, faculty and staff from local community colleges, and K-12 teachers.
I am thrilled to get the opportunity to interact with so many educators who are striving to improve their teaching
and to pursue life-long learning." - Dr. Gallayanee Yaoyuneyong, 2012 LEC Connects Presenter

Over the past three years, the Learning Enhancement Center at The University of Southern Mississippi has had incredible success with its annual LEC Connects Conference. Originally the intent was to better serve the faculty of Southern Miss, but since then, the conference has grown to include educators from other institutions across the state and throughout the Southeast. With that in mind, we gladly invite you to attend the newly named EDUCATORS CONNECT, Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Thad Cochran Center on the Hattiesburg campus of The University of Southern Mississippi.
The conference will feature resources to connect faculty to innovative teaching strategies by allowing faculty members to experience, communicate and collaborate with others while exploring effective teaching and learning strategies.
This conference is offered free of charge to all who participate. Registration begins on March 4, 2014 at 7:45 a.m. The keynote address begins promptly at 9 a.m. and the conference ends at 5 p.m. Complimentary continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for registered participants at the conference. The complimentary welcome reception on Monday, March 3rd, the night before the conference begins, will feature heavy hors d'oeuvre's.
