Dr. David Wells, Department of Marine Science at The University of Southern Mississippi discussed pedagogy for today’s professors at New Faculty Orientation on August 20, 2012.  Dr. Wells described four book reviews that address the challenges of university-level teaching today — How people learn: Brain, mind, experience and school: Expanded Edition; Taxonomy for Learning, Teaching and Assessing: A Revision of Bloom’s Taxonomy of Educational Objectives, Abridged Edition; Scientific Teaching; Benchmarks of Effective Educational Practices.
