Dr. Tom O’Brien, Chair and Professor for the Department of Educational Studies and Research at The University of Southern Mississippi discussed several ways to gain responses regarding teaching techniques at New Faculty Orientation on August 20, 2012.  Dr. O’Brien described methods used to gauge how students are learning before the semester ends.  For example, he encouraged faculty to begin the semester with specific policies and expectations for communication with students. Throughout the presentation, O’Brien emphasized some possible solutions for getting feedback from students.
