Amy Thornton

Amy earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Southern Miss, after moving here from Dallas, Texas. She will finish her M.S. in Instructional Technology in 2007. She began working full-time at Southern Miss in July of 2003 and joined the staff of the LEC in November of 2006 supporting faculty with distance learning and desktop applications as an instructional technologist.

Amy has held positions in several other departments on campus including the School of Library and Information Science and University Libraries. She currently serves on the University Staff Council. She also currently serves as the President of the Instructional Technology Student Association.
