Bonnie Cooper

Bonnie earned a BSBA in Marketing from Mississippi College, and after working in private industry for nearly twenty years, came to Southern Miss and moved into the world of education. She joined the LEC staff in May 2006 and serves as Instructional Technology Training Specialist, where she supports university members using technology-enhanced classrooms, online learning systems, and a variety of desktop applications.

With an affinity for exploring technology and a natural inclination for acquiring and sharing information, Bonnie’s roles frequently involve facilitating user adoption and integration of technical skills and tools, as well as research, communications, and strategic planning. She has held positions in several other units on campus, including Research and Sponsored Programs, the Instructional Media Unit (which eventually evolved into the Learning Enhancement Center), and the Special Collections Library.

Equipped with an avid curiosity and a life-long enthusiasm for learning and discovery, she enjoys exploring a variety of ideas and activities. She lives in Hattiesburg with her son and an assortment of adopted pets.
