Using the Assignment Tool

Step 1
The Green Asterisk alerts a new assignment has been posted.
Click the Assignment button. |

Step 2
The assignments due will be found under the Inbox tab.
Click the name of the assignment. |

Step 3
Read the instructions thoroughly.
Step 4
There are 2 ways to submit your assignment –
through the HTML Creator or by Attaching a document.

A
Clicking opens a word processing program similar to Word in Microsoft Office.
Click to have the option to enlarge the work area by dragging out the corner. |

Clicking opens the Content Browser window.
1. To attach a file from your computer click My Computer. |

A new window connected to the files on your computer will open.
2. Click the assignment file to be submitted. (NOTE: Most instructors need assignment work saved as Word ‘97/2003 doc files.)
3. Click Open. |

4. The Upload status window will show attachment progress. |

5. The file is successfully attached. |

Step 5
Click Submit to post the assignment to the instructor. |

Step 6
The warning window double checks the submit request.
Click OK. |

Step 7
Click Ok to confirm the submission of the assignment. |

Step 8
The assignment will no longer be under the Inbox tab. Clicking the Submitted tab to view the assignment. |

Step 9
The instructor may need the assignment published. This is done by clicking 
Then click Publish Controls. |

Be aware there are 4 different tabs.
Inbox for assignments that are due.
Submitted for work that has be sent to the instructor but not graded.
Graded for work that has been reviewed and scored.
Published for work to view by the rest of the class as a presentation area. |
