PYCO – Putting Your Course Online

The goal of the Putting Your Course Online workshop was to prepare faculty, students, and staff to teach and learn in an online setting. Workshop topics included teaching and learning strategies, organizational management of an online course, Blackboard technologies, and other instructional design elements that are necessary in developing quality instruction.

The workshop began with a two-week course in an online environment. Participants used Blackboard communication tools, learned to submit and post assignments, and took an online “test”. The conclusion of the course was four days spent in a lab setting learning the technical aspects of building, organizing, and managing the course.
