Interactive Classroom Support

The primary purpose of the Southern Miss Interactive Classroom is to share academic courses between the Hattiesburg campus and regional Southern Miss campuses. In this way, the University increases the availability of programs and faculty that were previously available to only one campus. Our Videoconferencing systems are standards based. We connect utilizing SIP or H.323 protocols. Each unit is capable of handling calls up to 1.5mbps.

iTech now supports facilitation of JGH 203 and all IVN rooms on the Gulf Coast campuses.  To schedule academic classes, please contact the ALC in your Dean’s office.  Meeting requests can be made through the form located at http://www.usm.edu/lec/forms/interactive-classroom-meeting-request-form/

For additional information, please contact the iTech Help Desk at 601-266-4357 or email at helpdesk@usm.edu.  Gulf Coast faculty and staff can contact Trey Gill and samuel.gill@usm.edu.
