Sheri Rawls
Sheri is the Director of the Learning Enhancement Center and Eagle Learning Online. She earned her Masters of Science degree in Instructional Technology from Southern Miss, as well as an undergraduate degree in Environmental Design.
A long time staff member of the University since 1984, Sheri has served as the Coordinator of Graphic Services for the Teaching Learning Resource Center, Team Leader of Multimedia Services for the Office of Technology Resources, as well as the Instructional Technologies Training and Graphics Specialist for the Office of Technology Resources. She continued her service as the Documents and Publications Specialist for the Office of the Provost before accepting the position of Instructional Designer, and then Director of the Learning Enhancement Center.
Sheri currently serves on the eLearning Steering Committee, Change Management Task Force, Master Facility Planning Committee, and the Quality Enhancement Plan Advisory Board. Additionally, she is Co-PI for USM's Title III Part A Strengthening Institutions Program, development of a Student Think Center to enrich the student experience and encourage student engagement in learning. She also serves as PI for the current Congressional grant, which is being used in part to support the Eagle Learning Online initiative. She serves as the Southern Miss liaison to the IHL Advisory Council for Distance Learning and Academic Outreach, as well as a team member on the Mississippi.edu statewide initiative.
Professional presentations and papers include Educause, Blackboard World, WCET, e-Learn, THE Forum, Internet Librarian 2008, The Chronicle, Educause Southwest Regional Conference, Creating Futures Through Technology, and Consortium of Colleges and University Media Centers conferences.
