Vanessa McCullum

Vanessa is originally from Prentiss MS (Jeff Davis County). She has been a resident of Hattiesburg for 23 years.

Vanessa worked for Big Yank Corp. Inc. for 13 years after which she attended JCJC and obtained an AA Degree in Business and Office Technology.

Before Vanessa's employment with Southern Miss, she was employed with Forrest County Schools as the Secretary for Earl Travillion Attendance Center. There she gained friendships not only with the faculty and staff but with the students as well.

Vanessa began her employment with Southern Miss in the fall of 2001 in the Department of Continuing Education and Distributed Learning. Her experience there was wonderful and she's confident that it will continue here in the LEC. She looks forward to assisting wherever she's needed.

Vanessa has been married for 12 years to Timothy McCullum of Hattiesburg, MS. She and her husband have no children of their own but they are involved with the youth at their church. Vanessa's favorite pastime is singing and writing poetry. For extracurricular activities she enjoys computers, bike riding, walking , basketball, volleyball, and softball.
