LEC Workshops http://www.usm.edu/lec/workshops A series of workshops at the University of Southern Mississippi. Blackboard Collaborate Training - Gulf Coast http://www.usm.edu/lec/workshops Blackboard Collaborate Web Conferencing gives you the functionality you need to support a 21st century teaching and learning environment, such as two-way audio, multi-point video, interactive whiteboard, application and desktop sharing, rich media, breakout rooms, and session recording. Educators and students can engage as if they were in a traditional classroom.

Participants in this workshop will get a solid foundation, enabling them to successfully deliver interactive Blackboard Collaborate web conference sessions. Participants will learn how to effectively manage the session communication tools, display PowerPoint content and record sessions for later playback.

Upon completion of this workshop, learners will be able to:

  • Understand the user interface - layouts and customization
  • Identify different methods of communication - audio, chat, video, and polling
  • Manage classroom interaction from the Participants Panel - participant permission and understanding activity and status indicators
