Faculty and Staff

The faculty and staff at SLIS have unique backgrounds and talents that prepare them for their roles in the university's mission to serve students in Mississippi and elsewhere through research, creative activity, and professional service.

SLIS faculty have worked in a variety of capacities as information professionals in academic libraries, archives, school libraries, public libraries, corporations, and government agencies. Their research has been published in many professional and scholarly journals and they speak regularly at conferences throughout the country. Faculty serve as advisers/mentors to students and enjoy cultivating new professionals in the field.
