Retailer Program

Because of the great demand for licensed Southern Miss merchandise, the retailer program at Southern Miss was established to ensure that officially licensed Southern Miss products are available in as many retail outlets as possible throughout the state and region. Currently, there are approximately 100 retail outlets that carry licensed Southern Miss products. The program provides these retailers with information and assistance and serves as a communication link between the retailers and manufacturers.

Through the program, the licensing department is able to maintain close contact with retail members by providing a newsletter, manufacturers lists, frequent updates, and periodic personal visits by licensing staff. Additionally, the licensing department will work with retail members in developing Southern Miss-related sweepstakes and promotions.

Southern Miss actively recruits new retail members, but the ultimate goal of the program is not only to increase the number of retailers carrying Southern Miss products, but also to increase same-store sales of current members. For more information regarding the program, contact Gene Fitts.
