Annual Banquet and Swap Meet The Mississippi Great Southern Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society and The University of Southern Mississippi - Center for Logistics, Trade and Transportation are hosting on Saturday February 13, 2010 an event to celebrate the "100 years of Railroading in Hattiesburg" in conjunction with the Southern Miss Centennial Celebration. The event is free of charge and will take place at 1:00pm in the Grand Ball Room of the newly restored Southern Railway depot in downtown Hattiesburg, MS. The event will include the Rev. David Price historic railroad photo collection. This is the largest collection in this area. During the event, personal collections for sales and displays of other people will also be included in this event. The tables for sales or displays are also available free of charge to anyone that wants to display or sell merchandise from personal collections.
